ABOUT MISS BURKLE
This fall will be my fourth year as a teacher and I couldn’t be more excited! I grew up in Yutan, Nebraska and was always very active in high school. I played sports including basketball, volleyball, cross country, and track. I have a step brother named Gabe (26), brother named Tyler (24), brother named Trevin (18), sister named Halle (13), and baby brother named Ryder (5). Spending time with family is very important to me and gave me the inspiration to work with kids!
I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. During college, I worked at the recreation center on campus, which allowed me to meet many people and stay involved. I also loved supporting the athletes by going to athletic events. Go Huskers! Right after graduation in December, I began my long term substitute position at Aspen Creek Elementary for 4th grade, where I got to work with an amazing group of teachers. I have always aspired to become a teacher ever since I was a little girl and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to help open up our newest elementary building in Gretna. Outside of school, I really enjoy staying active and playing basketball during my free time. I also love to paint/draw, go shopping, travel, go to concerts, watch movies (especially Disney) or spend time with friends. I grew up with a bunch of sports fanatics so watching sports is one of my favorite things to do with my family. I am obsessed with my two dogs Mylo (3) and Geno (1). They are miniature schnauzers and LOVE to cuddle! As an educator, it is my goal to get to know each and every student and help them grow academically and socially. I am very passionate about learning and want to guide each student to reach their greatest potential. I also strongly believe that parents play a big role in their childs’ academic success. I will work hard in keeping you informed and involved with your childs’ academic year. I also encourage you to become involved in our classroom in any way that you can! I am looking forward to meeting you all very soon. Enjoy the rest of your summer! -Miss Burkle |
